A good start to this book, on the first page, is the heading ‘About this book’. It tells you what to expect. She explains that the effects are divided into categories that are then sub divided. She is very clear that her intention is that one pick up and experiment with as many techniques as possible.


She goes on to advises you as to a method of using the book: I liked the idea of opening the book at random to try something out.
