Polymer clay gemstones – the art of deception (20 fabulous faux projects) By Kim Schlinke, M Ketzel, 2013, paperback
This book rather took me by surprise. It's very different from other instructional craft books I've come across.
The usual introductions
There are the usual introductory pages, explaining some of the terms used in the projects (like conditioning, reducing, etc) and lists of what the authors say are 'basic polymer clay supplies'. I could take issue with the use of the word 'basic', though, as the list includes the sort of supplies needed for intermediate to advanced claying. But then the projects themselves are not really basic.
