Debby Wakley

Before polymer clay, I was a jewellery maker for many years. In 2012 I discovered polymer clay after I suffered a severe sight loss in one eye. Polymer gave me an opportunity to make beads and jewellery without the rigid confines and small beads of conventional jewellery making!
I participated in claying events and discovered a wonderful community of like-minded individuals who also love polymer clay. My passion is still jewellery. I make a range of jewellery that I sell at fairs, home parties and on my website.
I joined the British Polymer Clay Guild in 2017. But there were no active local groups in my area so, in early 2019 I set up the Surrey/Hampshire borders group. From this, I have started doing 1-1 workshops and small group ‘make and take’ sessions for polymer clay novices.
I join the BPCG Committee in 2019 as a general committee member. We’ll have to see what happens next...
