In September 2017, The British Polymer Clay Guild celebrated its 20th Anniversary in Kidderminster
The event was held in a historic 19th-century carpet mill, Bondsworth Mill, on the bank of the River Stour in Kidderminster, which was now the home of the Simply Limitless Organisation and Lisa Walker Designs, who kindly hosted the BPCG Anniversary celebration weekend.
We had two whole days of workshops*, demonstrations, make and take sessions, exhibitions of work by our members, shopping opportunities from local clay and tool distributors and talks and demonstrations by some of our founders, Alison Gallant and Sue Heaser, polymer clay tutors and members of the Guild.
We were hoping to launch a “Celebration” themed polymer clay competition at the event and collected handmade beads for the children’s charity, Beads of Courage. With local media involvement, we brought polymer clay to the notice of local people as well as our wider clay community.
We know you wanted to celebrate with us, so many of you visited our website and Facebook pages for regular updates as they were released and shared your birthday wishes with us! #BPCG20
If you would like to suggest other ways to celebrate with us at any future events, – please get in touch!
Two of our volunteers, Tracey Jones & Lizzi Bucklow-Holt created a YouTube video about the event - view it on Tracey's YouTube channel
