Starting this May, there will be monthly informal clay sessions at the Flamingo Tea Rooms, 29 Tamworth Street, Lichfield, WS13 6JP. Meetings will be on Sundays from 11-3pm for the following dates:
May 27th
July 1st
July 22nd
Aug 19th
Sep 23rd
Oct 21st
Nov 18th
Dec 16th
The sessions will be in a private room inside the tea rooms. There is no charge for attending but we ask that you buy drinks and snacks from the venue to support them. Just bring your clay, tools and anything you want to work on.

We are getting the room for free so if a paying party wants the room we may have to rearrange our sessions so please check the website and Facebook page closer to the date.

Most BPCG members will have received an email today to remind them to renew their membership. If you think you should have received a reminder but haven't had one, please contact the Membership Secretary Kay so she can check that we have an up-to-date email address for you.

Kerrie Venner is running another Introduction to Fimo workshop at Stitchncraft Studio, Semley, Dorset on Tuesday 15th May.

During the workshop you will create "Big Beautiful Beads" by using simple veneer decoration, dimensional structure and translucent canes. The class costs £30 with a small charge for clay and findings if required. See www.stitchncraft.co.uk for more details and how to join.

Is there anything you particularly like (or not) about the BPCG? Now is your chance to let us know, with our online 2012 Survey. Please take a couple of minutes to give us your thoughts about the Guild. You don't even have to be a BPCG member, and you don't have to give us your name.

The results will help the BPCG committee with planning of future Guild activities, such as running workshops and inviting tutors. K

If you aren't very close to an existing BPCG group and are feeling left out, maybe you'd like to check out the new "Regions Wanted" page.

The aim is to match up members from the same region so that they can start their own meetings and to share polymer clay tips and tricks. K

For years they have been introducing Polymer Clay into the lives of unsuspecting "victims", now Valerie Wallace (www.polymerclay.co.uk) and Chris Pellow (www.chrispellowdesigns.blogspot.com) are getting together to found the Scottish Polymer Clay Guild

They aim to establish a network of polymer clay groups throughout Scotland, providing expertise and advice and creating a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all clay addicted souls.

Kerrie Venner is starting up the Dorset branch in Bournemouth this weekend (Sunday April 22, 2012). If you are able to visit, or would like to hear about future events, please use the contact form here. You don't have to be a BPCG member to attend - just someone is enthusiastic about (or would like to learn more about) polymer clay.

Just a reminder that next Saturday 31 March 2012 there is a free clay day in Lancing (on the south coast of England). It will run from 11:00 to 16:00 and you can turn up at any time. Please contact Kay for more details.
