Unknowingly my first contact with Polymer Clay was on holiday in San Francisco in 1997, where a girl was selling beads, which were so intricate I could not believe how someone could make these.

When, sometime later, I joined a “Bead Making” course with Sarah Wither it became clear how these beads were made: Polymer Clay! It was an eye opener for me and later again I saw a demo with Alison Gallant, who was there on behalf of the BPCG, I was boiled over and knew that’s what I wanted to do. I joined the guild there and then. I have attended several workshops by the big names in the Polymer Clay world, but I still feel a beginner. I joined the BPCG committee in 2009.
