Changes to the National Polymer Clay Guild

The Executive Board and Executive Director of the International Polymer Clay Association have created a survey for the polymer clay community. As members of the community, your input is especially valuable to them. The Executive Board will be meeting in two weeks for a Strategic Planning Meeting. The information gathered in this survey will be used at the meeting to help create their plan for the next two years.

Very Sad News

I have just heard that Alan Vernall passed away, suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday 9th September. Alan has been a contributing member of the Guild and 'honorary' committee member for a number of years and he will be sorely missed.

He has always been so generous and willing to share his knowledge. It has been a joy to follow his scientific approach to claying and share his enthusiasm for all things creepy crawly! I will always remember Alan as the 'bug and butterfly man!' He will sorely be missed by the Polymerclay community.

For those who would like to see more of his work - http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y191/Alanjamesv/?

Our deepest sympathies go out to his wife Mary, his family and his many friends.
